 | | 0 | 0 | | |  Shinôreijutsuin (Spiritual Arts Academy): sometimes called the Shinigami Academy. This is the academy founded by Genryûsai Shigekuni Yamamoto some 2,000 years ago. It was once called the Shinigami Academy. It changed to spiritual Arts Academy when it developed into an institute for the next generation of the Kidô Corps and the Onmitsukidô as well as the Shinigami of the Gotei 13. In Rukongai, it is still referred to as Shinigami Academy. The academy, which is located in Seireitei, trains future Shinigami for each of the three military arms of Soul Society is not under the jurisdiction of the Central 46 Chambers.
| 0 | 0 | | |  The Sôkyoku, is a large halberd, which the Gotei 13 uses at Sôkyoku Hill to execute Shinigami that have severely broken the law. When released, it takes the form of a huge and magnificent Phoenix-like entity.The Sōkyoku is said to have power of 1 million Zanpakutōs and has the defensive ability to block zanpakutō of equal power, and it can evaporate the soul of the one being executed by it.

It is divided into 320 districts (80 in North Rukongai, 80 in West Rukongai, etc.), each numbered in descending order on how far they are from the center; this results in the higher-numerated (and farther) districts decaying into slums.

Nayleth  | |  The Gotei 13 is the organization which most Shinigami join, and one of the three main branches of military in Soul Society. It is split into thirteen divisions (hence the name), with several divisions having certain specializations. The Gotei 13 is subservient to the edicts of the Central 46 Chambers. They also have no jurisdiction over any of the noble families. The symbol of the Gotei 13 is a rhombus, all the 13 Divisions symbols are placed within the rhombus on the back of the Captains haori. The Kidō Corps, not officially considered as part of the Gotei 13, is still under the authority of the Central 46, and works together with Soul Society, it is why it is actually here, but officially, both Kidō Corps and Onmitsukidō are not part of the Gotei 13.

Nayleth | |  When a Shinigami becomes a potential danger to other Shinigami and Soul Society itself, then that Shinigami is brought to the Maggot's Nest for imprisonment, even if that Shinigami was not put on trial; this is to ensure that no danger will be brought to Soul Society. Most prisoners are not held inside a cell (since they cannot set foot outside the prison), with the exception the Maggot's Nest's most infamous former resident: Mayuri Kurotsuchi, considered at the time an exceptionally dangerous person. Treatment for the prisoners is mostly lenient; they can walk freely and converse with one another, but the bleak setting drives many close to madness.
